After thinking long and hard about the next steps for Spleen, we have decided to focus only on our own Spleen Cycles from now on. It takes too much time to run an entire bike shop beside our normal jobs, so we’re reducing things down to what matters most. In turn, we decided that it would be best to have a separate digital space to present the bikes to make things easily understandable. This blog page will continue to exist, but only as a blog and news page.
It also is sad to announce that we are leaving our workshop and showroom space in Hallein, effective end of June, 2014. We see this space as being an important piece of the Spleen brand, and have busted our butts in order to renovate it according to our standards, but we realised that we no longer have the time and resources to keep a shop like that going, as well as consistently be there to serve the customers that stop by for a visit.
The big news is that Spleen is focusing on Cycles for this summer, and we have created a website for our cycles (through our Spleen Culture website, just click on “SHOP”, or visit us at www.cycles.spleenculture.com). The Spleen Bags will continue to be produced by Lisa from her home-workshop, but will be scaled back quite a bit due to the newest Jongeward- Jr.-edition, due in October. (Yeah!) We know that it’s not as easy to visualise the products when there is no physical shop to present them in, but we will work on getting the blog page updated with adequate photos and prices to make life easier for you all.
While we still want to serve our customer base as efficiently as possible, we will no longer have an official “Spleen Space” for people to visit. For anyone interested in our Spleen Cycles, we ask that you visit our new website cycles.spleenculture.com, get informed and check them out, and call us for an appointment to get going on the purchase process of your individual Spleen bike!
Thank you for your patience with us! And don’t hesitate to contact us with questions!
